TRACK & FIELD EXCELLENCE
Chris O’Hare won Tulsa’s first track national title when he captured the indoor mile at the 2012 championships. He is currently a three-time All-American.
The Golden Hurricane placed 18th at the 2012 NCAA Indoor Track Championship with 10 points. This marked the highest national finish in school history.
Tulsa has produced 15 All-Americans in indoor and outdoor track and field in program history, all coming since 2000.
Since 2006-07, the men’s and women’s programs have had 17 athletes participate at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Tulsa has had athletes qualify 95 times for the NCAA Regional event since the format was adopted in 2004.
Tulsa has produced 168 all-Conference USA performers since 2006-07.
Alex Becker (2006-10) completed her career as the school’s only six-time All-American, which included honors in indoor and outdoor track, and cross country.
2010 Division I All-Academic Track & Field
The Tulsa men’s and women’s track and field teams earned 2010 Division I All-Academic Track and Field honors by the USTFCCCA as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The Golden Hurricane men posted the fourth-highest team grade point average for all Division I schools during the 2010 season with a 3.35 GPA, while the women were seventh overall with a 3.48 GPA....
