Tulsa golfers are fortunate to have the finest facilities for training and competition of any team in collegiate golf. There are not too many cities that can boast as many first-class championship courses as Tulsa.
Tulsa may soon call the Patriot Golf Course its home course, but numerous private golf clubs and public courses provide Tulsa golf teams the opportunity to test their skills on the various course layouts.
The ideal weather in northeastern Oklahoma allows for training year-round, but it also gives golfers a taste of various climates and weather conditions. Battling the elements makes for a competitive golfer.
Tulsa courses have hosted professional golf tournaments such as U.S. Opens and PGA Championships as well as serving as a stop on the LPGA Tour. The NCAA Women’s Golf Championship came to Tulsa in 1999 and numerous conference championships have been hosted on Tulsa courses.
Tulsa Indoor Golf Facility
Tulsa’s 2,500-square foot Indoor Golf Facility on the TU campus houses a putting green, four hitting bays and team lounge. The student-athletes also have access to video camera equipment used to help evaluate their swing.
